  1. I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this web site. I’m hoping the same high-grade blog post from you in the upcoming also. Actually your creative writing skills has encouraged me to get my own website now. Really the blogging is spreading its wings quickly. Your write up is a great example of it.

  2. I must show some appreciation to the writer just for rescuing me from such a setting. Right after looking throughout the search engines and seeing principles which are not powerful, I figured my entire life was over. Living devoid of the solutions to the difficulties you have solved all through this posting is a serious case, as well as the kind that would have in a wrong way damaged my career if I had not discovered your web blog. Your actual knowledge and kindness in playing with all things was valuable. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t come across such a thing like this. I’m able to at this moment relish my future. Thanks a lot very much for this specialized and effective help. I will not hesitate to refer your site to any individual who would need guidance on this issue.

  3. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.

    • This is a good point and a point that I have many conversations about over the years, someone once said during a training class “Do not upload anything that you do not want the world to see or have access to” and they are right.

Several methods can be used more to make it harder, once it its online you really have not a great deal of control, but you can make them contact you in certain circumstances

      Example

I like to use the analogy it’s a bit like a burglar looking for a house to burgle If they see signs, alarms, gates, dogs, cameras, heaver duty locks, etc, they will move on to an easier target.

This is a bit like the same game,

      • Remove the copy and paste option, if they want your 20.000 character document then they will have to type it out, they will soon get bored
      • use passwords,
      • use water marks,
      • use copyright marking,
      • Place notification or popup about copyright theft, intellectual property theft, etc
      • If you make videos use water marked backgrounds, and use marking so that if copied there is no dough that it is your work.
      • With videos or text work, create a short snippet
o That way if they want the rest; make them contact you; for the video or article then you know at least where it went in the first instance,
o then make sure when you pass on the video or article, again make sure you use the copyrights, password protect, etc

In today’s world of the internet unfortunately anything is fare game, but I can appreciate your point,

      Example:

My first IT job, my line manager said to me why re invent the wheel when it has already been created.

I could see his point, but I also understood that someone had worked hard on that document and it is not fare to use that work and pass it off as your own.

BUT then I was raised with respect and morals not all think like me.

If someone wants to steal other people’s data documents, work, videos, articles there’s not a lot that can be done, BUT, you can make it harder let’s review some of the earlier points

Documents do not use word; use DPF’s, remove the copy and paste, remove the print option, and use the copyright marking, watermark the background

Articles if you have a good article and want to protect it place a juicy snippet on line then they have to sign up or contact you for the rest.
Web pages, you can also use password protection, encrypt the source code

When creating documents or articles first create them in MS Word, watermark the background the save the document as a PDF, and then lock it down further then use the snippet and password method to access the rest. Make them contact you!!!

Videos are classic, look at YouTube most of the videos will have some form of watermarked background, they will have then credits, they will have marking of where to go for more, some are snippets like prep logic, you see 2 minutes for example but for more go to the website, or for private videos that if you want more you have to contact the creator of the video, or at the very least go to their site.

These people have created these videos and they want the viewer to know who they are, where they are IE webpage, and where to find more of there work.

In short what I am trying to say is make it you work and make sure that people can see that and if they want it they either have contact you or have to recreate that work from scratch themselves, like to burglar they will move on unless that is the only work that is available and in today’s world spend some time and I guarantee they will find it elsewhere online.

I hope this helps but fell free to contact me if you want any further help with some of these points

      Regards

      Lee Haynes
